Teams Seeking Players in Other Countries

Re: Teams Seeking Players in Other Countries

Summer of your lifetime in Munich, Germany:

The Haar Disciples are a first Division Softball Team in Germany looking for a D1 college pitcher who wants to continue with Softball after college and help us with coaching as well. Haar is a small town in the outskirts of Munich.

Our season is scheduled from Mid of April to the beginning of October (this will give you a chance to visit the infamous Octoberfest in Munich if you want to :-) ). We know that you may not join the beginning of the season as your college season may not be over before early June.

As Softball is not such a big sport in Germany we are not able to offer you a fortune. But we are able to cover costs for flights, accomodation, little pocket money and health insureance.

Anyone interested feel free to contact me by E-Mail providing some more information about yourself. Feel free to ask me any question that may come up in your mind. My E-Mail adress is ingo.leven@disciples.de

Thanks,
Ingo

We are looking for girls who have played four years of college ball in the states and are interested in playing abroad while pursuing a master's degree.

Please e-mail etheredm@uregina.ca if you are interested. We are open to all position players, but are specifically looking for a pitcher and outfielder to join us in August 2016. We need a dominate pitcher who can hit and speed in the outfield as well as on the bases.

Please include links to stats as well as any film you may have.

Thanks,
Mikaila

Former college coach who has 10+ years experience in softball at collegiate level. I am interested in coaching overseas. Are there programs who are currently looking for someone with my experience and background? I look forward to hearing back and to the great opportunity of being part of an International program.

Play Softball in Stockholm!

Postby Karol Vieker » Wed Jan 13, 2016 7:31 pm

Hello all you pitchers who are also interested in coaching!

We are a softball team called Söder in the Swedish capitol of Stockholm and we are looking for a pitcher/coach to join us for the 2016 season. Perhaps that’s you?

Softball is a very small sport here in Sweden so the level of play is not as high as in the United States or some other European countries. But the love of the game by all of the players in the league couldn’t be bigger and there is great chance for you to develop the game here. Our team qualified for the playoffs the last three years in a row and in 2014 we took home both the indoor and outdoor national championships. But we still have a lot to learn so you should be interested in taking the senior team to the next level and developing the talents of the junior team.

What we need most is a pitcher (preferably Division I) who can also coach the team. It’s an advantage if you are able to play elsewhere on the field as well when needed since we don’t have a lot of depth in all positions. The season is Sweden usually goes from April/May until August/September. Although we would love it if you could stay for the entire season, it is of course most important to have you here in the final months of the season when we head into the playoffs.

As for Sweden itself, it is a wonderful country to live in and Stockholm is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Here you can have city life with lots of things to see and do while never being too far away from the peace and quiet of nature. We feel quite certain you’ll find yourself at home here. And should you want to explore other countries, the rest of Europe is only a couple of hours away by air, boat, train or car/bus.

Although most of the information is in Swedish, check us out at http://www.sodersoftboll.com. If you feel that we are the team for you, e-mail us as soon as possible at sodersoftboll@hotmail.com

We hope to hear from you!
